As Senior Manager, Monitoring, Controls & Governance (MEX), you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and continuously improving the risk, controls and governance environment across our Member & Employer Experience (MEX) division. You will oversee risk assessments, controls management, issue remediation, incident management and governance reporting, helping ensure the division operates within risk appetite while meeting regulatory obligations.

This is a visible role that partners with senior business leaders, Group Risk, Regulatory Affairs and transformation teams to embed robust risk practices into day-to-day operations and strategic change initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure risks are proactively identified, managed and reported, enabling confident decision-making and supporting sustainable business outcomes for our members.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the ongoing assessment, monitoring and improvement of the MEX risk and control environment, ensuring effective management of operational and compliance risks.
- Maintain oversight of risk registers, incidents, issues, audit findings and remediation activities, driving accountability through to resolution.
- Deliver clear, insightful and evidence-based reporting to governance forums, committees and senior leadership teams.
- Partner with business and transformation teams to identify and manage risk throughout major change initiatives and business projects.
- Promote a proactive risk culture by embedding ownership, accountability and risk-informed decision-making across MEX.

Your Experience

- Strong experience in risk management, controls, governance and remediation within superannuation or a regulated financial services environment.
- Track record in leading specialist teams to success in a challenging environment, including prioritisation and efficient allocation of tasks.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory and prudential requirements, including operational risk and outsourcing obligations such as CPS 230.
- Experience managing risk frameworks,



controls testing, incidents, issues and action tracking through a GRC platform.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and produce high-quality governance reporting.
- A proven ability to drive change, strengthen risk culture and deliver practical risk outcomes across complex business and transformation environments.
