Wellness Consultant/Experienced Nurse - Help People Feel Their Best

If you are an experienced Nurse or have a medical background and are looking for a change from a hospital environment, then use your medical knowledge in a nurturing, calming environment to assist clients with Beyond Rest Hawthorn's multiple wellness modalities.

Current nursing Registration is not necessary.

BR Hawthorn started with 5 flotation pods - 7 years ago and has progressively added 3 Infrared Saunas, a Cocoon full-spectrum infrared sauna, FDA-approved red light therapy, an Ice Bath and a HOCATT pod (Hyperthermic Ozone and Carbonic Acid Transdermal Technology)

This is a casual position which involves 2 - 4 shiftsa week and would suit a mature and experienced candidate with strong medical training who lives in and around the Hawthorn area. We are a 7-day-a-week business, so weekend and afternoon shifts will be a MUST for this role.

Beyond Rest Hawthorn provides services to the general public, enthusiasts, athletes, professionals, artists, students and anybody else who wishes to benefit from our modalities. This includes:-

- The total relaxation that sensory deprivation provides

- Fat loss and muscle recovery from the red light therapy, saunas and the ice bath

- and rejuvenate your cells with oxygen: cleans away damaged cells with ozone, and its seven other modalities using HOCATT.

The Role:

The Beyond Rest Hawthorn Wellness role is customer-facing and represents the image, services and culture of the business to both customers and the local community.

You will learn the front and back-of-house functions involved with the smooth running of the operation and the software involved with bookings and client interface. Plus, learn and experience the physiology behind the benefits of all of our modalities.





Primary responsibility is exceptional customer service, professional wellness advice/direction, sales growth and working with a team to achieve the business goals and sales. You will need to be a mature consultant to listen and chat with clients and direct them to the most beneficial modality to assist in their busy lifestyles. Also, being in the wellness industry, the centre needs to be clean…clean…clean.

Additional opportunities are available to learn the huge benefits of the latest technology in Red Light Therapy and the HOCATT. Working closely with the owner, Denise, you will drive customer engagement and retention, membership & pack sales, and maintain the centre with cleanliness and that "WOW" factor when you walk into the centre.

Working Shift Times:

Monday to Sunday; 9.00 am - 3.30 pm and 3:30 pm - 10.00 pm

(There are day and afternoon shifts which will vary pending the agreed contract)

Availability on weekends and evenings is a must and not negotiable. If you are not available at these times - please do not apply. In a Team environment, we all share in the weekend shifts over the month.



Each Team member works a minimum of 2 shifts on the weekend in a month.

Job-Related Skills Required:

- Medical training - ideally having been a Registered Nurse is preferable (but registration does not need to be current)

- Strong customer service

- Persuasive Sales Skills are a MUST-HAVE

- A clean freak

- Can work autonomously and work with a team

- Administration skills

- Are solutions focused

- Strong Education skills and interest in the benefits of red light and float therapy and de-tox therapies

- High energy and engaging communication style

- Manage to complete work priorities in a quick-paced (Yet very Zen) environment

Job-related Skills we will train you on:

- Body Contouring, red light therapy and HOCATT

- Sales choreography around our treatments and their benefits.

- Maintaining cleanliness in the centre and flotation rooms

Job-Related Experience:

- 2+ years in nursing

- 2+ years of customer service experience

- 2+ years of strong sales experience

- Highly preferred to have previous health and well-being industry experience

- Confident with EFTPOS, CRM, and social media platforms

- Strong organisational skills

- Cleanliness skills and attitude

- Ability to work in a very calm yet fast-paced environment

- Ability to solve complex problems if required

- Ability to relate to customers and build rapport to resolve issues in the calmest manner possible.
