Who we are

Family Clean has been matching people who take pride in their work with families who value it since 1994. It began when our family lost the farm and knocked on doors, helping in other people's homes. Reliability and care built the business. They still run it. We take our time matching people with households, because the fit matters to both.

The role: Home Assistant

The kind of help that keeps a household running.

You might help with:

- Cleaning, tidying and general housekeeping

- Laundry and easy meal prep

- Light errands, watering plants, walking the dog

This suits you if you see what needs doing before anyone says it, you're at ease in someone else's home, and you'd rather be a fixture than a visitor: the same face, week after week. Your experience might come from raising a family, aged care, hospitality, or years of running a household well. All of it counts here.

What you get

- $50 an hour, paid the same day you work.

- Your hours, your days.



You tell us what fits around school, study or the rest of your life.

- Mostly Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.

- Regular clients. Weekly or fortnightly homes you get to know, rather than a different address every day.

- Solo or paired. Apply alone, or with a friend or family member.

- Matching that goes both ways. We take care matching you with the households we introduce you to.

- Cover when you're away. We arrange temporary cover so your clients are looked after while you're gone.

- Nothing to carry. Clients supply the equipment and products.

- Help with the paperwork. ABN, insurance, police check: we'll point you in the right direction.

- Support from people who've done this work themselves.

What you'll need

- Right to work in Australia

- ABN and public liability insurance

- A current police check

- Ability to travel within 30km of the Melbourne CBD

Before you apply

When a family gives you a key, they are not just asking for a clean house. A home holds their tired mornings, their children's drawings, their quiet Sunday afternoons.
