Greek-Speaking Practice Nurse – General Medical Role

Casual

$50 – $55 per hour (RN)

$40–45/hr (EN)

Nurse practitioners (NPs) and NPs in training are also welcome to apply (remuneration negotiable).

A working understanding of Greek is essential for this role. We have a large and long-standing Greek-speaking patient community, and we need a nurse who can communicate comfortably with them — for consultations, health assessments, and general care. You don't need to be fully fluent, but you should be confident having everyday conversations in Greek.

About the role

Working with the existing nursing, medical, admin and allied health team, you'll be a skilled who takes pride in your work and has empathy for patients. The Practice Nurse role will involve offering high-quality care and providing the best possible patient experience. As one of three nurses, you will enjoy looking after patients in 15–30-minute appointments as standard. You'll have every opportunity to provide personalised care, preventative health advice and enjoy fantastic admin support.





Key responsibilities

- Adult & children's immunisations
- Wound care and management
- Performing ECG, Spirometry, ABI assessments, fitting 24hr BP, cardiac holter monitors (training provided)
- Chronic Condition Management including Health assessments
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Cold chain and treatment room management
- Stock ordering and inventory management
- Iron infusions (training provided if needed)
- General independent patient care (Nurse Practitioners)

About you

- Registered nurse (Division 1) – with a current practising certificate of registration with AHPRA OR Enrolled nurse (EN) or NP (Nurse Practitioner) in training, or fully qualified
- Working with Children Check or will obtain
- First Aid certificate (CPR) or will attend refresher
- Excellent interpersonal skills and spirit of teamwork, proactive
- Australian or NZ citizenship or work visa
- Desired: Additional LOTE (languages other than English)
- Desired: Cannulation skills, experience with iron infusions
- Desired: Experience using Best Practice software
