Sushi Sushi Delacombe looking for Chefs/Cooks/Kitchen hand

We are looking for staff for our Delacombe and Wendouree shops. Positions available: Sushi Maker, Kitchen Hand, and All-rounder.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare fresh sushi, sashimi and Japanese food items following store recipes and standards
- Maintain clean and tidy work station
- Comply with food safety and hygiene requirements
- Assist with customer service during peak trading hours
- General kitchen duties including dish washing, basic food preparation, cleaning kitchen and service areas
- Stock rotation, waste disposal and maintain high hygiene standards
- Support sushi makers and front-of-house team during busy shifts

About you

- Must be available to work weekends and public holidays (roster includes Saturday / Sunday)
- Able to work in a quick-paced busy environment
- Good personal hygiene
- Valid Australian work rights (Visa / PR / Australian Citizenship)
- Reliable, punctual and a good team player
- Previous sushi-making experience is required (Sushi Maker role)
- Prior hospitality experience is not required, a willingness to learn is essential (Kitchen Hand role)
- Pay rate in accordance with the Fair Work award
