People, Capability and Culture Transformation Lead

The Chance

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of People, Capability & Culture at Village Roadshow Theme Parks.

Reporting to the General Manager People, Capability and Culture, you'll partner closely with functional leaders to design and embed contemporary people practices across organisational development, talent acquisition, workforce capability, and leadership development.

This is a fixed-term transformation role rather than a traditional management position. You’ll lead change through influence, expertise, coaching, and execution — building the frameworks and ways of working that set the function up for long‑term success, then transitioning them to permanent leads.

Key Responsibilities

Lead meaningful transformation across our people function. You’ll be:

- Designing and embedding organisational development, leadership development, succession planning, capability assessment, and career pathway frameworks.
- Partnering with People, Capability & Culture leaders to establish the processes and ways of working that support long‑term success.
- Evolving talent acquisition practices — employer branding, direct sourcing, recruitment standards, hiring manager capability, and talent analytics.
- Developing people reporting, dashboards, and workforce insights that support data‑informed decisions, including through better use of key systems such as UKG and PageUp.
- Collaborating with the Workforce Capability Manager to align workforce planning, systems, governance, and people strategy.




- Providing strategic support to the GM PC&C; across transformation initiatives, strategic priorities, and leadership planning.
- Coaching and mentoring the People, Capability & Culture team, and creating the documentation that lets your work transition cleanly to permanent function leads.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a strategic builder who enjoys turning ideas into practices that last. You’ll bring:

- Significant experience across organisational development, talent acquisition, leadership development, or broader people transformation.
- A proven track record of establishing functions, designing and embedding frameworks, and handing sustainable practices over to permanent teams.
- The ability to translate workforce data and insights into practical recommendations that support business outcomes.
- Strong commercial, operational, and project management capability, with experience managing multiple transformation priorities at once.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in large, multi‑site operational environments — ideally tourism, hospitality, entertainment, retail, or similar.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business, or a related discipline.

Highly Regarded

- Experience with HRIS and talent platforms such as UKG, PageUp, Workday, or SuccessFactors.
- Accreditation in psychometric or talent assessment tools (Hogan, OPQ, Korn Ferry, or similar), and experience designing or facilitating leadership development programs.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Design Thinking.
