Service Chef – Early Childhood (0–6 years)

About the Role

As our Service Chef, you will be responsible for:

- Planning and implementing a fresh, seasonal rotating menu
- Preparing and serving secure, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0–6 years
- Catering for allergies, intolerances,



dietary needs and cultural preferences
- Maintaining strong food safety and hygiene practices in line with legislation
- Completing kitchen cleaning schedules, temperature logs and safety checklists
- Supporting child-inclusive cooking experiences and nutrition education where appropriate
- Building positive relationships with families and the teaching team

- Passionate about children’s health and nutrition
- Confident working with allergy and anaphylaxis requirements
- Organised and able to manage tasks independently
- Reliable, calm, and skilled
- Committed to high standards of hygiene, safety and compliance

Essential Requirements

- Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current training in:
- Anaphylaxis
- Allergy Management
- First Aid
