Centre Director | South Eastern Suburbs | Up to $130,000 Package

ANZUK Education is working with a well-established, privately owned early learning provider to find an experienced and passionate Centre Director for a 94-place service in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who loves being hands‑on, building strong relationships and making a real difference within a centre. You’ll be joining an established team and will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas, build on what’s already working and help drive the centre forward.

We’re looking for someone who is energetic, confident and highly relationship-focused, who enjoys being visible in the centre, connecting with families and the wider community, and isn’t afraid to get involved and make things happen.

The Opportunity As Centre Director, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to‑day running of the service while leading and supporting an established team.
You’ll have the autonomy to build relationships within the local community, strengthen enrolments and implement new ideas that support the centre’s ongoing growth and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to‑day operations
- Drive enrolments and occupancy through community engagement, networking and referral opportunities
- Build strong relationships with children, families and the local community
- Lead, support and mentor a team of educators
- Ensure the centre remains compliant with the NQF, NQS and relevant regulations
- Oversee rostering, staffing and workforce planning
- Monitor centre performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Create a positive, supportive and inclusive team culture

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:





- An experienced Centre Director or senior early childhood leader
- Commercially minded and confident driving occupancy and enrolments
- Energetic, approachable and great at building relationships
- Confident engaging with families and prospective families
- Passionate about providing high‑quality education and care
- A strong people leader who enjoys developing and supporting their team
- Organised, resilient and solutions‑focused
- Comfortable balancing the operational and educational sides of a centre

Essential Requirements

- Relevant Early Childhood qualification
- Previous leadership experience within an early childhood setting
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
