Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced FMCG Food Technologist. Role is located in Beresfield (north of Newcastle).

The Role – Located in Beresfield, NSW

n

Reporting to the NPD Commercial Manager, you will be required to be on site 5 days a week but there is flexibility with start and finish times. Your responsibilities include the following:

n

Support the Product Development Manager/Commercial Manager in leading the team, ensuring cohesion and providing support to Food Technologists

n

Ensure projects follow the NPD Stage Gate Process to ensure key metrics are achieved

n

Provide technical expertise across the portfolio

n

Take customer concepts through to commercialisation and launch

n

Manage and provide leadership on technical aspects of projects

n





Hold annual innovation sessions with key suppliers to ensure the joint development of a strong NPD pipeline

n

Assist the company to improve in the areas of Safety, Environmental, Quality and Compliance

n

About You

n

A solutions' orientated outlook and the ability to identify opportunities

n

Process management – develop, manage and follow process with a keen eye for detail

n

Technical Skills – a current understanding of Australian food & quality standards and legislation to commercialise new products

n

Effective negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills

n

Excellent organisational skills – ability to manage diversity of projects

n

Leadership qualities with a hands-on approach

n

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

n

A degree in Food Science or related discipline

n

A proven track record in a similar role within FMCG Food

n

Can be currently on a Visa and wishing to work regionally to speed up the PR process
