Blowbar & Co Salon is a brand-new, modern salon in the heart of vibrant Northcote, and we’re looking for passionate, talented hair professionals to join our founding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow with a new salon, build your clientele, develop your skills and be part of creating something special from the beginning.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for passionate hair professionals who love creating beautiful hair, connecting with clients and being part of a fun, positive and supportive team.

Hours will vary depending on each applicant, their experience, availability and role. We’re happy to discuss flexible working arrangements with the right candidates.

Saturday availability is essential and Saturdays are a must.

We are also working towards opening Sundays and Mondays, with the goal of eventually trading 7 days a week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Creating beautiful cuts, colours, blow-outs and styles
- Creating gorgeous blow-dries, bouncy waves and curls
- Creating stunning colour and blonde transformations
- Working with extensions and specialised styling
- Providing personalised consultations and exceptional client experiences
- Recommending and retailing professional haircare products




- Keeping the salon clean, organised and looking amazing
- Keeping up with the latest trends, techniques and education
- Supporting your team and contributing to a positive salon culture

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Senior Hairdressers
- Hair Stylists
- 3rd & 4th Year Apprentices

We’d love you to have:

- Strong skills in colouring, blondes, styling and/or extensions
- A genuine passion for hair and creating beautiful transformations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional presentation and confidence
- Great time management and organisation
- A positive, bubbly personality
- A team-first attitude
- A willingness to learn, grow and develop your career
