Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.

We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.

The Function

The Workforce function is accountable for building and sustaining the organisational capability required to deliver Ocius’ strategy.

The function integrates people, wellbeing, performance, and systems tocreatearesilient workforcefocused onexcellence.

The Role

The Training Designer will design critical trainingmaterials for the Ocius team, for both current and new team members. The role requires expertise on how people actually learnand how they apply themselves confidently in new learning experiences. The role will help build a recent learning capability from the ground up, working directly with leaders and subject matter experts to solve real workforceneeds.

A typical day as a Training Designer could include:

- Facilitate workshops and consultations with subject matter experts, leaders, and stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine competency and content requirements.




- Partner with leaders, stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and priorities.
- Designlearning across face-to-face, virtual, e-learning and blended formats.

Selection Criteria

- 4+ years in learning design, instructional design with a focus on the production of content and materials
- Ability to happily partner with SMEs to translate complex information into engaging and clear content
- Strong instructional design capability and the ability to turn subject matter expertise into practical learning content.
- Demonstrated experience designing face-to-face, virtual, e-learning and blended solutions.
- Confident facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a room and deliver content effectively.
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders.
- The successful candidate will thrive in a start-up or high-growth environment, and be eager to contribute to the development and improvement of the training function within Ocius

Due to the nature of our business, we require Australian Citizenship for all roles and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
