Pastry Chef (Gelato & Bakery Production) - Beku Gelato

Come and be a part of an innovative artisanal gelato business entering an exciting new phase. This role presents an amazing prospect for a motivated and ambitious chef to take a core role in our production kitchen. You will help craft our artisanal gelato alongside an expanding offering of baked items, pastries, and house-made components that accompany our desserts. You will be a focused all-rounder who can put their skills and experience to use across every aspect of our production, collaborating closely on recipe development and flavor innovation in a high-end environment.

Key responsibilities

- Daily production and formulation of our artisanal gelato bases and batches
- Production of our signature gelato, desserts, and range of baked items
- Creative input across all product lines,



helping design seasonal flavor pairings and sweet offerings
- Managing daily kitchen workflow, stock rotation, and maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Play a key, hands‑on creative role within our growing space in Carlton

About you

- Certificate III or IV in Pastry and Bakery, or equivalent experience as a pastry chef or cook
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a fast‑paced commercial kitchen or production environment
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
- A deep passion for pastry arts, flavor balancing, and frozen dessert science
- An entrepreneurial mindset—you take pride in seeing your creations succeed with guests.
