About the role
As Manager, Governance & Monitoring, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the governance, risk and compliance framework across Fund Services, including Group Tax, Finance, Enablement and Data. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Governance & Monitoring, you will help ensure effective oversight of risks, controls, regulatory obligations and governance processes while contributing to a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This role is critical in helping CBUS maintain a robust control environment, respond confidently to regulatory and audit requirements, and strengthen risk management practices across the business. You will coordinate governance activities, provide insightful reporting to leadership forums, and support the effective management of incidents, breaches, audits and remediation activities that protect members and support strong business outcomes.

Key accountabilities

- Support governance, accountability and risk ownership activities, including Financial Accountability Regime obligations and compliance requirements.
- Monitor risk and control performance, identify emerging issues and drive timely escalation and remediation activities.




- Coordinate regulatory reviews, audits and assurance activities, ensuring quality evidence and timely responses.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reporting and insights for leadership, risk and board governance forums.
- Support the management of incidents, breaches and systemic issues through effective root cause analysis and remediation oversight.

What will you bring?

- Experience in governance, risk, controls or compliance within superannuation or a regulated financial services environment. [
- Strong knowledge of operational risk management, regulatory obligations and prudential standards, including CPS 230.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, challenge and escalation risks while driving effective remediation outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Strong written reporting capability, with experience developing transparent governance, risk and compliance reporting that supports decision-making.
