About the role
n
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated andenergetic Legal Assistant to join our friendly Banking & Financeteam in a full-time, permanent capacity, in our Melbourneoffice.
n
In this role, you will be working closely with a team of highlyskilled lawyers and group of legal assistants to provide a highlevel of legal administrative support to our fee earners andclients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, energetic teamplayer who is looking for an opportunity to add value to aclose-knit team and work collaboratively to learn about us, ourclients and our matters.

This role offers plenty of variety, with the keyresponsibilities and duties including:
n
n
- Creating, editing and formatting a range of documents;
n
- Drafting legal correspondence and documentation;
n
- Time entry, preparing bills and processing monthlybilling;
n
- Coordinating meetings (including proactive support for thelawyers when they are in meetings) and diary management;
n
- Opening and closing of matters, including filing andarchiving; and
n
n
About you
n
You are self-motivated and adaptable in a dynamic environment. You are also a team player and pride yourself on exceedingexpectations. A strong work ethic and commitment to your rolewill see you succeed in this position.

To be considered for this position, the successful candidatewill have the following:
n
n
- At least 2 years' Legal Assistant experience preferablywithin Corporate or Commercial law practices;
n
- A high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonalskills with the ability to communicate effectively across alllevels;
n
- A proactive approach, enthusiasm to work independently andexcellent organisational skills;
n
- Strong typing and computer skills, and highly competent inthe Microsoft Office Suite and relevant legal softwareprograms; and
n
- The ability to produce accurate, high quality work
n
