The Opportunity

As a Career Medical Officer within the Emergency Department, you will provide hands-on, generalist emergency care to a diverse regional population. Working closely with Emergency Physicians, senior medical staff, nursing teams and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in the assessment, management and coordination of patients presenting to the ED. The role would suit a doctor who enjoys variety, values teamwork and is looking to develop their emergency medicine experience within a supportive regional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Manage a broad range of emergency and acute medical presentations
- Work collaboratively with Emergency Physicians and senior medical staff
- Coordinate patient care and facilitate appropriate investigations, treatment and disposition
- Participate effectively within the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation,



communication and patient safety
- Contribute to a positive and supportive Emergency Department culture

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- General Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 3 years' postgraduate medical experience
- Recent and relevant experience in Emergency Medicine
- Strong generalist clinical skills and sound clinical judgement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, team-oriented approach
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality care to regional and rural communities
