We are keen to connect with Consultant Obstetricians & Gynaecologists interested in full-time specialist practice within a regional referral service in Victoria.

The role offers broad specialist practice across obstetrics and gynaecology, with senior responsibility across maternity care, acute presentations, operative practice and outpatient services. The service provides care for both routine and higher-risk pregnancies and works closely with anaesthetics, paediatrics, midwifery and other hospital specialties.

A key professional proposition is the breadth of practice available within an established regional Women’s Health service. For specialists who value maintaining capability across both obstetrics and gynaecology, the position provides meaningful clinical autonomy alongside opportunities to contribute to multidisciplinary care, supervision and the ongoing delivery of specialist services for the surrounding region.

The Hospital

The hospital is the major acute referral facility for its surrounding region and provides specialist services across emergency medicine, surgery, medicine, maternity, paediatrics, mental health and critical care.

Women’s Health services include:

- Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal maternity care

- Specialist obstetric and gynaecological services

- Care for higher-risk pregnancies in conjunction with multidisciplinary services

- Gynaecological assessment, treatment and operative care

- Specialist outpatient clinics

- Collaboration with paediatric, anaesthetic and allied health services





The health service also has established education and training relationships, supporting a clinical environment in which senior specialists can contribute to supervision and career development.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), or recognised equivalent

- Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility

- Appropriate specialist experience and credentials in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
