Dural Psychology is a well-established private practice in Dural, Northwest Sydney. We're a supportive team of psychologists who believe that good clinical work requires psychologists to have the time, support and energy to do it well.

We're currently looking for a Psychologist to join our team 2 days per week as a contractor.

We currently have a waiting list for appointments.

This means you won't be expected to spend months building your own caseload or generating your own referrals. A new psychologist joining our team can expect to build their caseload quickly from the existing demand for appointments at the practice.

We have an established referral base and a steady flow of new enquiries, allowing you to focus on clinical work rather than marketing yourself.

Our admin team takes care of:

Client enquiries and bookings

Appointment reminders

Billing and payments

Scheduling

General administration

Managing cancellations and rescheduling

Our practice is fully paperless, with clinical notes and scheduling managed through our practice management system.

No chasing payments. No managing your own diary. No spending your evenings catching up on admin.

A contractor arrangement that works for you

This is a contractor position, with a competitive percentage-based fee arrangement.

We offer a generous percentage split, with flexibility to discuss the arrangement based on your experience and the value you bring to the practice.

We believe the arrangement should be fair to both the psychologist and the practice, which provides the rooms, referrals, administration, systems and infrastructure that allow you to focus on clinical work.

You bring your clinical expertise. We bring the clients, administration and infrastructure.

48-hour cancellation policy

Where a client provides:

48 hours or more notice: no cancellation fee applies.

Less than 48 hours' notice: the client may be charged 50% of the session fee.

Less than 24 hours' notice or a non-attendance: the client may be charged 100% of the session fee.





We will discuss the approach to cancellations with you and take your preferences into account. Cancellation fees will only be applied in accordance with the arrangement agreed with you as the treating psychologist.

This means you have a say in how cancellations are managed while also having a policy in place to protect your time and income.

Who we're looking for

- AHPRA registered as a Psychologist

- Clinically capable and committed to evidence-based practice

- Warm, thoughtful and genuinely interested in helping people

- Comfortable working independently while also valuing collaboration and consultation

- Ethical, reliable and professional

- Someone who wants to be part of a team rather than simply rent a room

- Experience or an interest in trauma-focused therapy, including EMDR, would be highly regarded, although it is not essential.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who cares about doing good clinical work and wants to build a sustainable career in private practice.
