Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed) — Aged Care Health Checks | Tue & Thu

We're a medical service that works inside aged care homes. Our GP looks after residents on site, and we're looking for an Enrolled Nurse to work alongside them two days a week. This isn't floor nursing. You won't be doing medication rounds or covering a wing. Your day is a planned list of residents to assess, you sit with them, do the checks, write it up, and hand it to the doctor. You'll be working independently to a clear weekly schedule, with our GP in Charge for clinical direction and the facility's registered nurses on site alongside you. Every assessment goes to the doctor for review.

Key responsibilities

Health checks for residents (mostly over 75) — history, observations, weight, how they're managing day to day

Getting care plan paperwork ready for the GP to review and sign off

ECGs, lung function tests and leg/arm blood pressure comparisons — we'll train you on the equipment if you haven't used it

Checking who's due for vaccinations, and giving them with the GP there

Ear checks and ear cleaning, following our protocol





Pulling together background from resident files, hospital letters and previous reports for recent admissions

Sitting in on case conferences with the GP, physio, podiatrist and other allied health as needed

About you

Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, with no restrictions

Some experience in aged care, general practice or community nursing

Competence in writing clear notes and using electronic records

Confident working on your own during the day, and knowing when to check in

Working Rights in Australia and a recent National police check

Above-award hourly rate, paid under the Nurses Award aged care classification

12% superannuation

Five weeks annual leave a year (pro rata)

Leave loading (up to 4 weeks a year)

Uniform and laundry allowances paid (navy scrubs, badge supplied)

Travel between facilities paid at the award kilometre rate, and travel time is paid work

Long service leave accrual under the Victorian scheme

Training on all the equipment and procedures
