Senior Data Architect| AWS | CQRS | SQL to DynamoDB
n Sydney | Contract to July 2027 | $1,150 per day + GST

Opus are partnering with a respected Australian organisation undertaking a major technology transformation and are seeking an AWS Senior Data Architect to play a critical role in a large-scale data modernisation program.

n

The Opportunity

n

Work alongside enterprise architects, project teams, SMEs and technology partners to deliver critical data outcomes across a complex transformation program.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead data quality remediation initiatives across legacy data environments.
n
- Design and document logical and physical data models.
n
- Define and execute data migration strategies from SQL Server to PostgreSQL environments.
n
- Establish data lineage and mapping from source through to target systems.
n




- Validate event-sourcing and CQRS data models.
n
- Support DynamoDB read-model and access-pattern design.
n
- Act as a key liaison between vendors, technical teams and business stakeholders.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- 8+ years experience in Data Architecture.
n
- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL expertise.
n
- PostgreSQL and JSONB modelling experience.
n
- AWS platform experience.
n
- Data migration and transformation delivery experience.
n
- Knowledge of CQRS and Event Sourcing.
n
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills.
n
