A rare opportunity for the right couple to live and work on beautiful rural properties.

We are seeking an experienced, hardworking and practical couple to join our established team in the ongoing care and operation of two beautiful properties.

This is a full-time position for both partners, with above-award wages, self-contained one-bedroom accommodation and utilities provided.

Not suitable for children or pets.

We are looking for a couple who take genuine pride in their work, enjoy being busy and are confident working both independently and as part of a team.

ABOUT THE PROPERTIES

Graysons Estate is a large rural property incorporating luxury accommodation, gardens, entertaining areas, recreational facilities and extensive grounds. It is used for private groups, retreats and accommodation, so presentation and attention to detail are extremely important.

Freshwater Creek Cottages will be your base, with your accommodation provided on-site. The property includes seven self-contained cottages and is currently undergoing an exciting rebrand, with a new hospitality business planned for the future.

You will play an important role in maintaining both properties and ensuring they are consistently presented to a high standard.

THE ROLE

The position is varied, practical, and hands-on. While both partners will respond to last-minute operational requirements and general property presentation, the core responsibilities are structured as follows:

Joint Responsibilities (Completed Together):

High-end cleaning, housekeeping turnovers, and property presentation.

Role 1 (Interior Focus):

Full laundry and linen management.

Role 2 (Exterior Focus):

Gardening and grounds maintenance.

General property maintenance, repairs, and project assistance.

Care and upkeep of pools, outdoor facilities, and entertaining areas.





No two days will necessarily be the same.

We need people who are comfortable rolling up their sleeves, identifying what needs to be done and getting on with it.

Experience in hospitality, accommodation, housekeeping, property management, gardening, grounds maintenance, building, maintenance, rural properties or guest services would be highly regarded.

You do not need experience in every area.

Attitude, initiative, work ethic and common sense are more important to us than having the perfect résumé.

THIS IS A HANDS-ON POSITION

We want to be upfront about the nature of the role.

This is not a live-in position where accommodation is provided in exchange for doing the minimum amount of work.

It is a busy, hands-on role where things sometimes need to happen quickly.

We are looking for people who:

See something that needs doing — and get it done.

You should be able to work without constant supervision, solve practical problems, respond to changing priorities and take responsibility for the overall presentation of the properties.





If guests are arriving and something needs attention, we need you to recognise it and sort it out.

WHAT WE OFFER

Remuneration: $100,000 – $110,000 combined gross salary range (total package for the couple, paid proportionally based on individual roles).

Full-Time Employment: Individual employment contracts for both partners with stable, above-award wages.

Live-In Benefits: On-site, self-contained one-bedroom accommodation provided at Freshwater Creek Cottages (all utilities included).

Private Amenities: Large private outdoor patio space attached to your accommodation.

Tools of the Trade: Shared work vehicle and fuel card provided for business travel, plus a mobile phone.

Environment: A beautiful, highly rewarding rural living environment.

Stability: Long-term employment opportunity with a clear opportunity to become an integral part of the property’s ongoing development.
