Key responsibilities

- Operating a truck and dog combination safely and efficiently
- Must be experienced with road ranger manual transmission
- Transporting spoil, aggregates, road base and other construction materials
- Completing daily vehicle pre-starts and reporting maintenance requirements
- Maintaining accurate dockets, timesheets and job records
- Coordinating with supervisors, excavator operators and site crews
- Following site safety, load restraint and chain-of-responsibility requirements
- Keeping the truck and trailer clean and well presented
- Assisting the civil crew with general site activities when reasonably required
- Undertaking local and regional travel, depending on project requirements

About you

- Current HC licence
- Valuable driving record
- Experience working around civil construction and excavation sites
- Sound knowledge of load limits, load restraint and fatigue requirements
- Construction White Card
- Ability to complete pre-starts and identify basic maintenance issues




- Good communication and time-management skills
- Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work reasonable overtime when required
