We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Remote Area Nurse – Men’s Health to join the Men’s Health Program and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

This is a permanent position that supports the delivery of culturally appropriate men’s health services across multiple communities, including Gapuwiyak & Ramingining.

- N4: $131,995 - $141,804
- N5: $145,532 - $151,453
- N6: $159,785 - $166,179
- Superannuation: 12%

Annual Leave & Leave Entitlements

- Annual Leave (East Arnhem Land): 30 days per annum
- Leave Loading: 17.5%
- Personal Leave: Up to 12 days per annum
- Compassionate Leave: Up to 5 days per occasion
- Professional Development Leave: Subject to eligibility and minimum service requirements

- Annual Retention Bonus (Eligible RANs): $10,000 per annum in Year 1, increasing annually in accordance with the Retention Bonus Policy

- Annual Leave Travel Assistance: $2,267.09 gross per annum

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community‑Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates a solid understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self‑determination, with an awareness of the challenges faced by Yolŋu people living in remote communities. Candidates must have a current Registration and Practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse through AHPRA and Minimum of 5 years broad nursing experience post registration and 3 years working as a remote area nurse with experience working in Men’s Health program.
