My client is an award-winning Chartered Accounting practice providing tax compliance and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The Geelong office has been part of the local community for more than 65 years, with the team comprising of 3 Principals and around 20 staff. They are now looking to appoint an Accountant or Senior Accountant as part of their continued growth. The office has a flat, collaborative structure, providing direct access to the Principals and a supportive environment where you can continue to develop.

The office has a flat, team-oriented structure, providing direct access to the Principals and a supportive environment where you can continue to develop. The client base is predominantly made up of sole traders, SMEs and family-owned businesses,



with a strong focus on building long-term relationships and providing practical, trusted advice. The opportunity offers the best of both worlds; the personal, relationship-driven environment of a long-established Geelong practice, combined with the broader technical expertise, resources and growth opportunities of the wider group. The firm utilises a range of established accounting and practice management platforms, including Xero, FYI Docs, Ignition, NowInfinity and ATOmate.

You Will Have Key Responsibilities Which Will Include

- Preparing financial statements & reports for various entities
- Preparing tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts
- Tax planning/advisory and projects for clients
- Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies
- Liaising with clients regarding compliance matters

About The Candidate

- CA/CPA studying (or looking to commence)
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- 2 years + experience in a public practice environment
- Familiarity with Xero and other accounting platforms
- Genuine desire to be client facing and progress in your career
