Located 15km from the Townsville CBD, Sun Metals is one of the most technologically advanced zinc refineries in the world,producing Special High Grade Zinc metal, Zinc Alloy metal and by-products of Sulphuric Acid, Copper, Cadmium, and Zinc Ferrite. Our process involves Roasting, Leaching, Purification, Electrolysis and Casting with sales to both domestic and international markets.

About the role

This permanent role will support the process operation, therefore experience within a refinery, manufacturing or heavy industry operation is ideal.

This full time position will work Monday to Friday with weekend work when required.

You will have exposure to a broad range of health and safety disciplines including:

- Occupational Hygiene
- Ergonomics;
- Incident Investigation; and
- Management of Change.

You will ideally be tertiary qualified with OH&S; or risk management experience and have a desire to be a health and safety professional.





You will enjoy being hands-on working in the field and office.

ICAM Investigation and auditing qualifications will be advantageous for this role.

Your strong analytical skills and written communication skills will ensure you are successful in this role.
