A unique opportunity is available for an experienced golf professional to join one of Sydney's leading golf facilities as Golf Operations Manager.

n

Working closely with the General Manager and senior management team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of the Club's golf operations, with a strong focus on member experience, team leadership and the continued development of golf services.

n

This is a hands‐on management position suited to an experienced golf qualified who enjoys working with members, leading a team and delivering a first‐class golf experience.

The Role

n

As Golf Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the Club's golf operations, including the golf shop, competitions, events, golf services and retail activities.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Lead the daily operation of Golf Services and ensure a consistently high level of service.
n
- Work with the General Manager to develop and maintain effective operational policies and procedures.
n
- Manage the golf shop, including product selection, merchandising, stock control and retail operations.
n
- Develop initiatives to support retail sales and service standards.
n
- Coordinate member competitions, Club events, corporate golf and other golf activities.
n
- Ensure fields are started efficiently and pace of play is effectively monitored and managed.
n
- Oversee golf carts, bag storage, club cleaning and repair services, and practice facilities.
n
- Monitor departmental performance and provide regular reporting.
n
- Ensure all departmental activities comply with Club WHS requirements and procedures.
n
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of golf activities.
n




- Continuously review Golf Operations and identify opportunities to enhance the member and guest experience.
n
- Lead, develop and motivate staff while maintaining a positive and professional team culture.
n
- Maintain high standards of customer service across all areas of Golf Operations.
n

About You

n

We are seeking a motivated golf professional who combines strong industry knowledge with excellent people and leadership skills.

n

The successful candidate will ideally have:

n

n
- Significant experience within the golf industry, with PGA of Australia membership recommended.
n
- Previous experience in a senior golf operations or golf professional role within a premium golf club, resort or similar environment.
n
- Strong knowledge and experience in golf retail.
n
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding member and guest experiences.
n
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, develop and manage a team.
n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
n
- Experience with MiClub and SwiftPOS/Back Office systems.
n
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
n
- The ability to work effectively with senior management and colleagues across the Club.
n
- A professional, positive and collaborative approach to leadership.
