The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of acute pain management.

The Clinical Nurse

Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider health care team support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of acute pain management

About The Team The Acute Pain Service (APS) provides inpatient consultative services for the management of paediatric acute pain across all paediatric specialty areas at QCH. The APS provides a service 24 hours a day, in collaboration with the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management, to deliver a broad range of inpatient management of acute pain.

About The Role In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values .

You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
