About This Role

Your current role

As a valued member of the Mental Health Emergency Department team at Redland Hospital, you will provide high-quality mental health assessment and intervention to patients presenting to the Emergency Department, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and patient-centred environment.

- Deliver comprehensive mental health assessments, therapeutic interventions, patient education and support with discharge planning, applying evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgement.
- Manage an allocated caseload effectively, balancing clinical and non-clinical responsibilities while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and service records.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families and carers, multidisciplinary colleagues and external agencies to achieve safe, compassionate and person-centred outcomes.

About You You are a compassionate and collaborative health professional who brings sound clinical skills, strong communication and a commitment to delivering safe, person-centred mental health care in a fast-paced emergency environment.

- Demonstrated ability to undertake mental health assessment, intervention and clinical decision-making within an interprofessional team, with appropriate clinical supervision and professional guidance.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with consumers, families, carers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Effective organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, manage a clinical caseload and maintain high-quality documentation.
