UX Design Manager, Digital Transformation - Clerk Grade 9/10 - Parliament of NSW

- $133,348 to $146,945per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role:

This role leads UX and service design for complex initiatives, shaping how people experience and interact with the Parliament of NSW’s digital services.

Working across specialist teams, the role leads user-centred design from discovery and research through to delivery and continuous improvement, ensuring customer insights inform decisions at every stage. It drives accessible, practical and sustainable solutions for Members, staff and the NSW community, while championing human-centred design and strengthening UX standards and practices across the organisation.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Our office is found close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street CBD, next to the State Library and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.

You are an experienced UX professional who turns complex challenges into intuitive, accessible and practical digital experiences. You bring a robust human-centred approach, balancing user needs with business goals, technical requirements and accessibility.

Additionally:

- Proven UX capabilityacross research,design and usabilitytesting for complexdigital products andservices.
- Seamless, accessibledesign expertise, applying WCAG anddesign best practice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, fostering collaboration and consensus in complex environments.
- Strategic delivery skills, managing priorities, navigating complexity and driving meaningfulimprovements.

Success in the role requires demonstrated UX experience, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, communication and the ability to influence outcomes in complex environments.
