Dalgaranga is entering an exciting new phase, creating an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety leader to play a key role in shaping safety performance across the operation.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Health & Safety function at our Dalgaranga operation on a 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth, with occasional 8:6 coverage to support the SSE function.

Reporting into the General Manager, you’ll provide leadership across all health and safety matters, including safety systems, compliance, incident management, fitness for work, injury management, crisis and emergency response.

With direct reports across the Health & Safety function, this is a key leadership position where you’ll have the opportunity to influence how safety is managed and delivered across site plus develop a robust team and foster positive culture.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Lead and develop the Health & Safety department, ensuring the function effectively delivers against site targets, budgets and priorities.
- Build strong relationships across the operation and partner with Department Managers to support health and safety compliance and performance.




- Lead site compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, policies, standards and management plans.
- Oversee fitness for work and injury management processes in consultation with the Group Health & Safety team.
- Lead safety systems auditing, assessments and reporting, ensuring findings are effectively addressed.
- Facilitate risk assessment workshops and provide technical Health & Safety expertise as a subject matter expert.
- Oversee and moderate incident investigations, ensuring appropriate reviews are undertaken and effective controls are developed and implemented.
- Develop and review safety procedures, management plans and control documentation to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
- Develop Health & Safety continuous improvement plans and identify opportunities to strengthen safety performance.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of project management plans to the regulator as required.

About You You are an experienced Health & Safety leader who enjoys working closely with operational teams and influencing safety outcomes at all levels of an organisation. You’ll be comfortable operating in a hands-on mining environment and understand that effective Health & Safety leadership is about more than systems and compliance - it’s about building capability, strengthening controls and supporting people to go home safely every day.

You'll Ideally Bring

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Leadership experience within mining - Underground.




- Well-developed incident investigation capability.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience facilitating risk assessments and risk management workshops.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Certificate IV in Healthcare and Certificate III in Emergency Response.
- Completion of the SSE exam.
