Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Property Economics (2 positions available) to join School of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Business and Law. The School of Economics and Finance at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is recruiting for up to two (tenure-track) positions as Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Property Economics (with a valuation focus). The ideal candidate will have an established record of quality teaching and research, and experience in outreach in the professional property community and/or prior professional experience in property. Professional valuer accreditation is desirable.
Teaching experience in property economics, with a focus on commercial real estate, property development or property valuation is required.
Experience with professional standards and modern valuation methods is important. Research experience in property economics, valuation/ appraisal, finance, and related fields is also required. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in high-quality, impactful, innovative, and as appropriate, externally funded research.

Our academics also teach within the MBA programme and collaborate with other Schools and Faculties in delivering units of our expertise where they are needed..
What You Need To Succeed
- A PhD in Property Economics/Property Valuation/Property Finance (or related) at the time of taking up the position.
- Demonstrated ability to pursue high-quality impactful research.
- Demonstrated ability in teaching, including unit and curriculum design and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team of academic colleagues.
- Demonstrated engagement with industry stakeholders to enhance teaching and/or research performance.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
