This is a hands-on site management position where you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of commercial fit-out projects. You will work alongside a small, capable team overseeing electrical installations, dry fire systems, security and access control, and communications and data projects across Greater Melbourne.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee electrical installations and fit-outs
- Oversee dry fire systems, security and access control, communications and data projects
- Coordinate a small team of electricians and trades
- Liaise with builders, subcontractors and other trades
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Manage site priorities, materials and deadlines
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance
- Communicate project progress and issues with the GMS management team
About you
- Hold a current A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Have robust commercial fit-out experience
- Have experience leading a team or running commercial sites
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Can confidently liaise with builders,
clients and subcontractors
- Are reliable, proactive and take pride in your work
- Can work independently while still being part of a team
- Have a strong understanding of electrical compliance and protected work practices
- Experience with dry fire, security or communications will be highly regarded
