About the role
Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Secondary will provide educational and operational leadership across Years 7–12. This is an exciting opportunity for a current or aspiring senior leader to help shape the next chapter of Secondary education within a growing and diverse school community.
Key responsibilities
Driving excellence in teaching, learning and student achievement
Building a positive culture of high expectations, belonging and responsibility
Leading and developing teachers and middle leaders
Strengthening student wellbeing, behaviour and pastoral care
Overseeing curriculum, assessment and senior secondary pathways
Using data and evidence to drive continuous school improvement
Developing strong partnerships with students, parents and families
Contributing to the strategic direction and leadership of the College
About you




Demonstrated leadership experience in secondary education
A strong understanding of contemporary teaching and learning
The ability to inspire, develop and support staff
Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
Sound judgement and a student-centred approach to leadership
Knowledge of Queensland curriculum and senior schooling requirements
A genuine willingness to support and work within the Islamic ethos, mission and values of AIIC
Appropriate teaching qualifications and Queensland College of Teachers registration, or eligibility for registration
