Aboutthe role
n
We areseeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst AML,
RegulatoryCompliance
to join our Administration team in our Sydney office tosupport the continued rollout and operational stabilisation of ourAnti-Money Laundering (AML) Program. This full-time, 6-monthmaximum-term contract presents a unique opportunity to take on ahands-on and advisory role, supporting the firm's compliance withevolving Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing(CTF) regulations.

Reporting tothe Director, AML Compliance, you will provide senior supportacross AML advisory, regulatory compliance and client due diligence(CDD) operations. The role will support the AML Compliance Officer(AMLCO) function, including regulatory matters and engagement withAUSTRAC where required, while helping ensure AML requirements areapplied consistently across partners, matter teams and
businessoperations.
Following the commencement of new AML/CTF requirementsfor law firms, you'll help support the firm's ongoing
compliance,operational
stabilisation and continued uplift of its AMLProgram.

Whatdoes the role involve?
n
n
Providing advisorysupport on AML/CTF queries across the business, includingpartners, matter teams and operations
n
Supporting the AMLCOfunction, including regulatory matters, reporting support andengagement with AUSTRAC where required
n
Helpinglead CDD operations, including guidance on complex files,escalation points and quality uplift
n
Actingas a bridge between operations and governance to ensureconsistent application of AML requirements
n




Supporting clientonboarding processes, including CDD, enhanced due diligence(EDD), risk assessments and ongoing monitoring
n
Draftingand reviewing risk assessments for clients and
matters,identifying
high-risk factors and
documentingoutcomes
n
Monitoring
complianceactivities,
identifying issues and supporting timely escalationand resolution
n
Undertaking qualitytesting across a sample of CDD profiles, conducting regulatorystress testing of controls and managing AML risks, includingissues and actions recorded in the risk managementregister
n
Contributing to policy,procedure and process reviews to support ongoing compliance andoperational effectiveness
n

Aboutyou
n
To besuccessful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
Circa 5+years' AML/CTF advisory experience in a first or second linerole, ideally within a law firm or regulated
professionalservices
environment
n
Strongworking knowledge of CDD, EDD, client and matter riskassessments and ongoing monitoring
n
Experience providingpractical AML/CTF advice to stakeholders and
supportingescalation
pathways for complex matters
n
Goodknowledge of Australian AML, CTF and sanctions laws,regulations and other compliance-relatedlegislation
n
Experience
supportingregulatory
engagement, reporting obligations or
governanceprocesses
would be highly regarded
n
Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail andsound judgement
n
Confidence operating ina hands-on and advisory hybrid role, with the ability toprioritise, use initiative and make decisions
n
Excellent
communicationskills
