Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is seeking experienced and compassionate Senior Staff Specialists or Staff Specialists (Geriatricians) to join our dedicated Internal Medicine team.
This is a fantastic prospect to provide expert care to our aging population in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, contributing to clinical leadership, education, and service development within the Fraser Coast region.
We offer a competitive remuneration package value up to $564,548 p.a., including salary between $223,136 - $282,912 p.a. (f/t) or $****** - $****** ph. (p/t)

Mandatory possession of a Medical qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registrationwith the Medical Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) with a currentannual practicing certificate is essential and fellowship of the Australasian College of Physicians(RACP), as recognised by the Australian Medical Council, including maintenance of CPD and goodstanding as required by AHPRA for the maintenance of Specialist Registration.




Specialist Registrants will be preferred in all positions; however non-specialists or overseas trainedspecialists may be considered where appropriate and significant progression towards fellowship canbe demonstrated.
Applicants who have completed specialist qualifications but are yet to be registeredas a specialist are encouraged to apply.
All such qualifications should be submitted to AHPRA for inclusion on their website in which case, thiswill provide evidence of qualification.To find out more about Queensland Health, visit 3Copies of the required information must also be provided in sufficient time to enable the awardingof Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) prior to the commencement date.
All applicants must be awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) by the Wide Bay Hospital andHealth Service Credentialing and SoCP committee.
Information presented for application will bepresented to the committee during the selection process, and all appointments are subject tomaintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membershipwith the appropriate registration authority or association.
Certified copies of the required informationmust be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
This position requires the incumbent to work at other facilities within the Wide Bay Hospital and HealthService.
