The role is a 3‐month, part‐time position that supports re‐ingesting existing data for the Queensland government.
Salary
$104,030 – $116,563 (HEW 7)
Fixed term (4 months), Full‐time, Bunbury Campus
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Projects, you will be responsible for leading a team of project professionals to safely deliver ongoing capital work and energy hub projects. You will provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities. Your focus will be to ensure projects are safe, on‐schedule, budgeted, and aligned with business objectives.
The role oversees the planning and delivery of the annual sustaining capital program, while supporting the Hunter Energy Hub.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead and develop a high‐performing team, fostering safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee project portfolio governance and delivery, ensuring projects are safe, on time, within budget, and meet standards.
Drive capital planning, investment prioritisation, financial performance, portfolio reporting, risk management, and business value maximisation.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and the Hunter Energy Hub for project and business objectives.
Champion project excellence through contractor management, governance, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring




Demonstrated experience leading complex capital projects and multidisciplinary teams within power generation, energy, heavy industry, mining, utilities or similar sectors.
Proved leadership ability to coach, develop, and motivate staff.
Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, capital governance, and portfolio management.
Experience managing significant budgets, financial performance, and stakeholder expectations.
Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management.
Strong commitment to safety leadership and a positive safety culture.
Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline (or trade qualification with significant industry experience).
