About the opportunity We're seeking a Production Manager to lead a made-to-order manufacturing operation producing custom-engineered access solutions in steel and aluminium.
This hire is about adding further leadership focus to safety, 5S and continuous improvement as the site continues to grow.
Reports to: General Manager Hours: 7:30am–3:30pm Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri, 7:30am–4:00pm Thursday (38-hour week) About the role You'll take hands-on ownership of the factory floor, working directly with the team and supporting section leaders day to day.
This isn't a desk-bound role - you'll be visible on the floor, engaging with employees and building credibility through your presence, while the business grows toward a larger team over time.
Key responsibilities Lead day-to-day production, staff, materials and equipment planning Drive safety, 5S workplace organisation and continuous improvement initiatives Manage production scheduling to meet customer delivery timelines Oversee product quality against customer requirements Support stock purchasing,



monthly stocktakes and consignment bookings Lead daily toolbox meetings and ensure OHS compliance across the floor Provide technical advice and guidance to factory employees About you You're a hands-on production leader who's comfortable in a practical, manually assembled manufacturing environment - this is not a sterile or highly automated setting, and you'll need to be genuinely engaged on the floor, not just managing from reports.
You will ideally have: Proven production management experience in discrete manufacturing, fabrication or another custom/make-to-order setting Comfort managing a manually assembled product with varied bills of materials Demonstrated people leadership and factory-floor credibility A strong safety focus and experience driving continuous improvement (Lean principles highly regarded) Realistic expectations of a hands-on, practical manufacturing environment and the commute involved Why this role Genuine scope to shape safety and continuous improvement from the ground up Join a business on a clear growth trajectory, with the team set to scale further Strong potential for progression into broader operational leadership over time Work closely with senior leadership in a business that values long-term careers How to apply Apply to this ad or contact Arah Ko at ************
