An opportunity to become more than an Associate Dentist DR Dental is seeking an ambitious and experienced dentist ready to take the next step in their career — progressing from associate dentistry to clinical leadership and, ultimately, to a Principal Dentist role .
This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established South Yarra practice and work closely alongside the practice's Founder, with ongoing mentoring, clinical support, and a structured pathway into senior leadership .
We are particularly interested in speaking with a dentist who has at least 4 years of postgraduate clinical experience and is seeking a long-term professional home where they can develop not only as a clinician but also as a future leader.
The Opportunity You will initially work closely with our Founder and senior clinical team, allowing you to become familiar with the practice's philosophy, systems, patients, and clinical standards.
For the right person, the role will progressively develop into greater responsibility for: Clinical leadership and mentoring Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning Supporting and developing the clinical team Maintaining high standards of patient care Practice development and clinical growth Helping shape the future direction of the practice Ultimately progressing into the Principal Dentist role Importantly, you will not be expected to step immediately into a management position without support.
The intention is to provide the successful dentist with direct mentoring and a progressive transition into leadership , working closely with the Founder.
The ideal candidate will: Have a minimum of 4 years' post-graduate experience Be a confident general dentist with robust diagnostic and communication skills Have an interest in high-quality comprehensive dentistry Be motivated to continue developing clinically Have the interpersonal skills to lead and support a clinical team Be interested in developing management and leadership capabilities Have a strong commitment to patient-centred care Be looking for a long-term career opportunity , rather than simply another associate position Have the ambition to eventually lead a highly regarded dental practice Experience or an interest in cosmetic, restorative, endodontics, and digital dentistry would be highly regarded, although attitude, communication skills and leadership potential are equally significant.
