Your role
As a Senior Psychologist or Senior Specialist Psychologist at Parklea Correctional Centre, you'll be a clinical leader and trusted expert, providing specialist psychological services to individuals with complex behavioural, mental health and rehabilitation needs. As the centre transitions back to public operation, you'll play a key role in establishing and shaping psychology services, driving clinical excellence and influencing best-practice service delivery. Through your leadership and expertise, you'll contribute to meaningful rehabilitation outcomes, help reduce reoffending, improve wellbeing and support safer communities.
In this role, you'll provide clinical leadership and oversight of psychology service delivery, ensuring services are delivered safely, ethically and to the highest professional standards. You'll undertake psychological assessments, develop case formulations and deliver evidence-based interventions to the more complex offenders. You will contribute to rehabilitation outcomes through risk assessment, treatment planning and provision of expert advice to support case management.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and operational stakeholders, you'll strengthen clinical capability, provide specialist advice and drive excellence in psychological practice to achieve positive outcomes for people in custody.
Beyond your direct clinical work, you'll play a key role in developing the capability of the psychology team. Through individual and group supervision, and professional development, you'll help psychologists grow their skills and confidence in managing complex presentations.
For Senior Specialist Psychologists, there may be additional opportunities to manage highly complex cases,

provide advanced clinical expertise and lead or contribute to service improvement projects that influence the future direction of psychology services.
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced psychologist who combines clinical excellence with strong leadership capability and a genuine commitment to rehabilitation.
You'll hold full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and bring significant experience and expertise in psychological assessment intervention and criminogenic risk management, along with a robust understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
You will be confident working with complex presentations and balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your communication skills will allow you to build relationships with key stakeholders, while your collaborative approach will enable you to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Importantly, you'll have experience providing supervision, mentoring or professional leadership to other clinicians and be passionate about developing those around you. Being a Board Approved Supervisor is desirable.
For Senior Specialist Psychologist appointments, you'll demonstrate advanced clinical expertise, substantial experience managing complex and high-risk clients, and the ability to provide expert consultation, leadership and influence across psychology services.
We focus on hiring people who share our commitment and goals of inclusion, collaboration, adaptability, courage and integrity. If you meet the essential requirements and the role resonates with you,

please apply you do not need to meet every desired requirement for us to want to talk to you.
