Retail Manager – Exciting Retail and Dining Destinations
n
The Retail Manager is responsible for management of a range of retail and commercial assets for the Golden Age Group including Sky One Plaza and the Sky Square in the heart of Box Hill retail core.
n
Key responsibilities
n
Act as the landlord's day-to-day representative for retailers; build solid, commercially productive relationships across the tenancy mix
n
Support leasing on renewals, new deals, rent commencement, trading obligations and lease compliance
n
Monitor tenant trading performance, sales reporting, opening hours and trading covenants, and address underperformance or non-compliance
n
Manage arrears in conjunction with finance and legal, including negotiation and escalation
n
Ensure compliance with the Retail Leases Act **** (Vic), Occupational Health and Safety Act **** (Vic), Building Act **** (Vic), Owners Corporations Act **** (Vic) and relevant planning permits
n
Manage insurance claims, incidents and public liability matters
n
Coordinate owners corporation and shared-facility matters where the centre forms part of a mixed-use scheme
n
Work with marketing to develop and deliver the centre marketing plan, campaigns and activations within the marketing fund budget
n
Champion centre presentation, customer amenity and community engagement
n
Manage relationships with the landlord/owner, council, utilities,



adjoining occupiers, car park operators and
residential/commercial
neighbours
n
About you
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in centre management, retail property management or a closely related asset management role
n
Sound working knowledge of the Retail Leases Act **** (Vic) and Victorian commercial leasing practice
n
Strong understanding of OH&S;, essential safety measures and building compliance obligations
n
Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to hold a firm commercial position while maintaining relationships
n
Highly organised, self-directed and comfortable managing competing priorities across operations, leasing and compliance
n
Tertiary qualification in property, business, commerce or a related discipline (desirable)
