About the business A nationally recognised organisation with a vertically integrated manufacturing and supply chain with locations across Australia.
With renewed investment, the business is looking to improve operational maturity including systems and processes.
About the role This hands-on leadership role owns inventory, demand planning, transport/shipping procurement and warehouse management systems across a high-complexity SKU base with an international manufacturing partner and a combined manufacture-to-delivery lead time of around 8 weeks.
This is a build-and-stabilise mandate - you'll be expected to deliver visible, measurable improvement within existing systems and constraints, not propose a green-field redesign.
What you'll be doing Owning inventory accuracy and rationalisation, and establishing min/max parameters and demand-planning discipline for top-selling and critical SKUs Managing transport and international shipping procurement,
reducing cost-to-serve and improving reliability of inbound/outbound logistics Coaching and lifting the capability of your Warehouse Manager and Inventory Manager Improving WMS and bin/location discipline within the existing ERP and barcode infrastructure Establishing tripwire and exception-based reporting for early visibility of stock, service and cost issues Reporting supply chain performance directly to the CFO and executive team About you Proven supply chain/inventory leadership in a multi-site or high-SKU-count retail, manufacturing or distribution business Hands-on operating style - comfortable on the floor and working with imperfect or legacy systems International sourcing and freight experience, ideally with manufacture-to-delivery lead times of similar length and complexity A track record of pragmatic, rapid wins rather than long-form transformation Direct, confident communicator used to reporting to senior stakeholders Resilient - comfortable operating with ambiguity and imperfect data What's on offer Base + super, plus a bonus structure tied to inventory and cost-to-serve outcomes A genuine mandate to shape and fix a function, backed by supportive ownership Direct exposure to the C-suite Apply below and I'll be in touch to talk through the details.
