Job description Troocoo is proud to partner with St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland to recruit a Head of Partnerships, Philanthropy and Fundraising to join their Brisbane team, reporting to the General Manager Service Excellence and Assurance.
This is an exceptional opportunity to drive meaningful change by developing and delivering SVdPQ's fundraising program, philanthropic giving, corporate partnerships and donor engagement activities, working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to strengthen the organisation's service quality, sustainability and community impact.
About St Vincent de Paul QLD SVdPQ creates social impact by providing care, compassion and hope to anyone who needs a hand up, delivering more than 200 programs and services across the state, from emergency housing and homelessness support to disaster recovery and general assistance.
Values: Commitment Compassion Respect Integrity Empathy Advocacy Courage About the role We are seeking an exceptional Head of Partnerships, Philanthropy and Fundraising to lead and grow SVdPQ's fundraising and philanthropic engagement at an exciting stage of the organisation's journey.
This is a senior prospect for a relationship-driven leader who has mastered the art of fundraising and can drive transformational philanthropy built on trust, shared purpose and long-term partnerships.
You will shape the fundraising strategy, strengthen the philanthropic proposition, develop high-value partnerships and build a sustainable pipeline of support that enables SVdPQ to deliver on its organisational strategy and community outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide the Executive Leadership team recommendations to inform the Philanthropy and Partnership approach that will identify, secure funding and support opportunities for the organisation.
Work with the ELT and Marketing team to build the narrative that articulates SVdPQ's purpose and value proposition to potential partners and funders.
Develop and deliver a comprehensive partnership, philanthropy and fundraising strategy aligned to organisational priorities, leveraging and growing revenue through existing programs.
Set program plans, budget and performance metrics; report on effectiveness and provide recommendations for future growth and ROI.
Implement the Society's major events and campaign programs.
Represent SVdPQ at external events and stakeholder meetings, helping secure partnerships and philanthropy commitments.
Build engagement and support among SVdPQ stakeholders, working closely with senior leaders to ensure strong alignment with campaigns and opportunities.
Monitor fundraising trends across the Queensland not-for-profit sector to inform strategic timing and ongoing improvement.
Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the team, building organisational engagement through support, education and collaboration.
Ensure the division's activities comply with relevant legislation and ethical fundraising standards, providing progress,
improvement and compliance reporting for executives and governance forums.
About you You are a strategic relationship builder with a proven track record of securing significant partnership, philanthropic and fundraising investment.
Highly collaborative and future-focused, you embrace change, build strong relationships across the organisation and bring an enterprise-wide perspective to decision-making.
You will bring: A relevant tertiary qualification in Fundraising, Business or Management, or at least five years of direct or similar experience.
A proven track record developing and delivering fundraising, philanthropy and partnership strategies.
An understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland, with the ability to work in accordance with its policies, values and mission.
Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Commercial acumen combined with a genuine commitment to purpose and impact.
Strategic thinking and the ability to turn vision into a practical fundraising plan.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and confidence engaging with CEOs and senior executives.
Strong leadership capability, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
