Dans Plants is a well-established and thriving nursery located in the heart of Heatherton, Victoria. We take pride in offering a wide variety of plants and decorative pots to our valued customers. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Dispatch Manager to join our team.

Job Type: Full Time, Monday to Friday.
n
Salary: Annual salary and incentives of up to $80,000 (plus Superannuation) on offer for the right candidate
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Support the Dispatch Manager in the day-to-day running of the dispatch department, ensuring orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
n
Step into the Dispatch Manager role when required, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
n
Assist with the daily packing of stock for one of our largest customers, loading plants onto trolleys and trucks with accuracy and care.
n
Ensuring all stock is ready and dispatched on time (in line with allocated schedules)
n
Ensuring all paperwork relating to stock movement and orders is completely in a timely manner and accurate
n
Operate a forklift to safely move plants, trolleys and other heavy loads.
n
Ensuring all orders are picked, packed, and labelled correctly
n




Ensure only plants that meet our high standards are dispatched
n
Help to maintain a clean, organised, and safe dispatch area
n
Requirements:
n
Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse or logistics environment (minimum 2 years preferred)
n
Demonstrated leadership experience as a leading hand, or senior team member, with the ability to support and motivate a team
n
Experience completing dispatch paperwork and documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
n
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
n
A proactive attitude with the ability to step up and lead the dispatch team in the Dispatch Manager's absence
n
Transport to Heatherton, as public transport is limited in the area
n
Experience in a nursery setting or an interest in horticulture is highly preferred, but not essential
n
