Communications Advisor - Business & Destination Engagement - Vacancy Details

The City is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Communications Advisor to support local businesses, promote our vibrant destinations, and strengthen connections across the business community.
n
Working within the Communications and Engagement team, you'll lead targeted communications, engagement and promotional initiatives that support local business growth, economic development and destination across Melville.
n
Location: City of Melville Civic Centre
n
Salary: Level 7/8 $107,****** to $122,****** pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super
n
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time or Full Time (0.6 FTE - 1.0 FTE)
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Deliver communications, campaigns and promotional activities that support business and destination priorities.
n
Develop engaging content across digital, print and social media channels.
n
Build strong relationships with local businesses, Town Teams, trader associations and industry partners.
n
Coordinate business engagement activities, workshops and networking opportunities.
n
Provide business insights and stakeholder feedback to inform City projects, services and initiatives.
n
Contribute to the delivery of the Discover Melville Tourism and Destination Plan
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for a communications professional who enjoys building relationships, engaging stakeholders and translating ideas into meaningful outcomes.
n
n
Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, marketing, public relations, economic development,



place management or a related field.
n
The ability to develop and deliver targeted campaigns and engagement initiatives.
n
Proven relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience.
n
Experience working collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
n
An understanding of local business needs and customer-focused service delivery.
n
