About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the General Manager, you will lead the day-to-day finance function of Liveasy Care.
n
This is a senior hands-on accounting role where you'll oversee financial reporting, payroll, compliance and continuous improvement while mentoring and supporting a small finance team.
n
You'll be supported by two Finance Officers who manage the day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, allowing you to focus on financial reporting, payroll oversight, statutory compliance, financial controls and strategic business support.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
Lead the day-to-day finance function.
n
Mentor, coach and develop two Finance Officers responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
n
Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
n
Manage and review the fortnightly payroll process using KeyPay, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
n
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
n
Complete month-end journals, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
n
Prepare BAS, GST, Payroll Tax and other statutory reporting obligations.
n
Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
n
Support annual budgeting, year-end financial statements and external audits.
n
Develop and strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and system improvements.
n
Work closely with the CEO and General Manager by providing financial analysis and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
n
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation.
n
Identify opportunities to improve business performance through process improvement and automation.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role you will have:
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
n
CPA or CA qualified (or working towards).
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar senior accounting role.
n
Strong experience using Xero.
n
Experience using KeyPay or similar payroll software.
n
Demonstrated experience overseeing payroll and statutory reporting.
n
Strong knowledge of financial reporting,
reconciliations, BAS, GST and Payroll Tax.
n
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
n
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
n
Previous experience mentoring, coaching or supervising finance staff.
n
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
n
Highly Desirable
n
Experience within the NDIS, disability, healthcare, aged care or community services sector.
n
Understanding of NDIS funding and participant billing.
n
Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment.
n
Experience supporting a growing multi-site organisation.

n
Our standard office hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

We're happy to negotiate earlier or later start and finish times for the right candidate, offering flexibility while ensuring business needs are met.
