Andrews Drill Core Facility in Broken Hill.About theAs the Operations Officer, Broken Hill Drill Core Facility, your role will be more than just geoscience.
You'll be responsible for overseeing facility operations, including core preparation, viewing, visitor access, and general maintenance.You'll also be responsible for:Supervising and managing the archival drill core collection, ensuring its preservation and accessibility.Liaising with industry, landholders, government agencies, and the community to deliver high-quality technical services and advice.Providing drill core expertise to support exploration programs and collaborate with other geoscientists.About YouTo be successful in this role you'll need to have experience in the mining industry, exploration and drilling, combined with demonstrable knowledge of drill core handling and operating procedures in core yards, including protected management of equipment (Broken Hill regional expertise highly regardedAs our ideal candidate, you will bring:The willingness and ability to undertake field work in remote areasModerate computer skills, including GIS and database managementExperience with drill core handling, logging, rehabilitation, and/or archivingAbility to communicate effectively with diverse audiencesEssential RequirementsHold and maintain a current Class C driver licenceHold and maintain a valid NSW forklift licence with suitable experienceCompliance with pre-employment probity screening is mandatory and a condition of engagementApplications close Tuesday,
