Services are delivered across Townsville and Mount Isa, with outreach support provided throughout the region.Deliver evidence-based counselling to individuals, couples, children and familiesConduct assessments and develop therapeutic goals and intervention plansFacilitate groups and contribute to community education activitiesManage a caseload in line with service and funding requirementsParticipate in case discussions,



professional supervision and ongoing developmentMaintain professional client records and reportsUndertake occasional outreach travel as requiredAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or a related fieldEligibility for membership with a relevant professional associationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAn understanding of evidence-based counselling practices and therapeutic interventionsKnowledge of relevant legislation and contemporary service delivery frameworksA current Open Driver LicenceCurrent (or ability to obtain) Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening ClearanceHighly RegardedExperience delivering therapeutic counselling interventionsExperience working with individuals, children, families and couplesExperience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse communitiesExperience is preferred but not essential.
