We're a new build, a growing team, and a genuinely exciting place to build your career.The roleAs Assistant Financial Controller, you'll manage the day-to-day finance function onsite at voco Gosford, working closely with the Head of Finance & Business Support.
You'll need a solid handle on hotel and precinct operations — revenue flowing through multiple food and beverage and events venues, the property management systems, and the key performance metrics that matter — so you can keep reporting accurate, controls tight, and insights sharp for the General Manager and owners.Run the day-to-day finance function onsite, alongside the Head of Finance & Business SupportKeep financial records and reporting accurate across the hotel and precinct outletsOwn revenue control, making sure the property management system, point-of-sale system and financial systems line upManage key reconciliations and controls across food and beverage, conference and events, and gamingDeliver weekly,



fortnightly and monthly reporting packs for the management team and ownershipOversee balance sheet reconciliations and support payroll and labour productivity reportingKeep accounts payable moving — supplier payments on terms, brand payments reconciled, spend under controlRun credit control and accounts receivable — minimise debtor days, chase outstandings, keep cash handling and banking tightManage loyalty and third-party transactions (guest rewards programmes, Global Blue and other payment partners)Build and improve financial processes, controls and policies as the business growsGet audit-ready and keep everything compliant with Australian accounting standardsWhat you'll bringA bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or 3+ years in hotel accounting/internal audit with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, or an equivalent mix of study and experienceWorking knowledge of Opera Cloud, Opera (on-premise) and point-of-sale systems strongly preferredExperience with Futurelog and/or Sage Intacct highly desirableA solid understanding of hotel financial reporting under the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging IndustryAustralian Working RightsWhat's in it for you?
