Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy DepartmentNorthern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.Seymour Health is a leading integrated small rural health service.
It is a 25-bed public facility which provides public and private acute medical and surgical, renal dialysis and day procedure along with post-acute care, palliative care, district nursing,
sub-acute ambulatory services and a broad range of community and home-based services.About the Role:The Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist - Seymour Health has responsibility for the provision of pharmacy services at Seymour Health.
They will ensure excellence in patient care, evidence-based practice, and service improvement and risk management.In addition to the provision of clinical and operational pharmacy services to Seymour Health, this role also has dedicated FTE (0.1) to support quality pharmacy services at Seymour Health inclusive of Medication Safety and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
The pharmacist will have the opportunity to work with experienced senior pharmacists to develop the Medication Safety Program at Seymour Health.The role will require staff to be flexible with their working hours to meet the changing operations demands and can include working after hours and on public holidays.Compliance with mandatory training as per NH Policy is a requirement of this role.
Failure to complete this training within required timeframes may result in a suspension of duties until training is completed.This is a fixed term part time position until September **** (24 hours per fortnight) with the opportunity for extension.To be successful in this role you will have:Experience and good working knowledge of hospital pharmacy practiceProven ability to work as a part of a teamDemonstrated abilities to work independently and meet deadlines.
