About Us
Established in 1963, Proserpine State High School services a diverse range of communities and offers excellent holistic educational opportunities for young adolescents of the Whitsunday Region of Queensland. The majority of students are drawn from the communities of Airlie Beach/Cannonvale, Whitsunday Islands, Proserpine and its surrounding farming/grazing areas. Given that Proserpine State High School students come from such a large geographical area, the majority of students utilise a well-developed school bus and boat network.
This varied cultural backdrop enriches the learning environment, and underpins the wide range of curriculum offerings available.
A wide range of both academic and vocational subjects is available, senior students have a choice of 35 subjects while junior students have 20 to 30 subjects from which to choose, depending upon the year level.
As the only state high school in our area we provide a wide variety of pathways to further learning and future employment.
