Due to internal movements we are looking for a Waste Support Officer to join our team on a 12 Month Fixed Term assignment.

You will be based on-site at both Watergardens Shopping Centre and Eastland Shopping Centre, you'll help promote sustainable waste practices through a mix of operational support, tenant engagement, and education.

Responsibilities

- Overseeing daily waste operations across both centers
n
- Understanding site-specific waste streams and how they're managed
n




- Suggesting sustainable improvements to existing processes
n
- Optimizing bin sizes and collection schedules
n
- Inspecting bins and storage areas for compliance
n
- Promoting correct waste segregation (general waste, recycling, organics)
n
- Reducing contamination and improving recycling rates
n
- Responding to waste-related issues with cleaning and maintenance teams
n

- Motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about sustainability

- A transparent communicator, confident working with tenants and staff

- Organized, reliable, and detail oriented

- Able to work independently and solve basic problems

- Familiar with or open to learning about waste and recycling

- Aware of general workplace safety
n
- A background or studies in environmental science, sustainability, or education is a plus
